I had a conversation once:

“I love my life.”

“But do you truly live?”

“I see where you’re coming from.”

“But do you agree with me?”

“Well, I think I live.”

“But do you live well?”

“I’m never late.”

“But are you ever early?”

“I give generously.”

“But do you give it all?”

“I always try my best.”

“But do you always succeed?”

“I read the Bible regularly.”

“But do you carry it wherever you go?”

“I have a well-paying job.”

“But are you rich?”

“I’m not a murderer.”

“But are you a life saver?”

“I uphold the law.”

“But do you enforce it?”

“You must be infinitely wise.

What does a successful man

Such as yourself

Think of your life?”
